I’m not seeing ANY reviews in the coverage of Lollapalooza ‘08 about Flogging Molly, so I have to give my two cents in the blog-o-sphere.

These guys absolutely stole the show on Sunday. The organizers clearly didn’t think they would have a big draw, and gave them the smaller Playstation stage to perform. Instead, fans poured in to watch these guys rock out. I didn’t see one person standing still the entire time; people were either clapping or dancing or screaming or crying. It was just a good ol’ time without the machismo that you might encounter at an average punk show.

Anyway, here’s Flogging Molly performing Drunken Lullaby at Lollapalooza ‘08. Please note the huge dancing mosh in the center of the stage, and my crew about 10 meters behind them :) As you can see the crowd is really getting into it

Beastie Boys – Three MC’s and One DJ. Handycams and live action performance in a dingy NYC basement make for an outstanding shoe-string video.

Underworld – Two Months Off. Guy from Underworld dances around in the woods at the tail-end of a rainstorm. Yes it’s studio, but very cool use of limited resources.
